Staying at the Familienhotel Mateera in Gargellen was a delightful experience that perfectly blended cozy hospitality with the charm of Germany's alpine scenery. Nestled in a quaint village, the hotel offered ski-in/ski-out access that made hitting the slopes a breeze despite its distance from the main ski lift; a convenient bus service in the morning catered nicely to our skiing needs. The atmosphere of the hotel was incredibly warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for families, pets, and friends. My highlight was dining in the onsite restaurant, where we enjoyed an excellent dinner buffet, thoughtfully tailored for children-a testament to the hotel's commitment to family-friendly service. After a long day of skiing, unwinding by the bar's fireplace was particularly enjoyable, thanks to the friendly and approachable staff, who made us feel right at home. The Mateera Spa's sauna provided the perfect finishing touch to our relaxing getaway, allowing me to soak in the beauty of Gargellen's mountains while recharging for the day ahead. For anyone seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation, I highly recommend a stay at Familienhotel Mateera; it's a distinctive gem in the Montafon region.
